American English vs. British English: Übersetzen Sie richtig?

Three of these pairs of sentences mean exactly the same thing, one in American English, the other in British English. But in one sentence, the British English is not quite correct. Can you find the mistake?

a) My boss has an apartment on the seventh floor but never  rides the elevator.
b) My boss has a flat on the sixth floor but never takes the lift.

2 
a) In the USA, businessmen sometimes wear a three-piece suit with a jacket, pants and a vest.
b) In the UK, businessmen  sometimes wear a three-piece suit with a jacket, trousers and a vest.

a) I was standing in line for the subway when someone stole my cell-phone.
b) I was queuing for the tube when someone stole my mobile phone.

a) You see a lot of trash on the sidewalk in downtown Chicago.
b) You see a lot of litter on the pavement in the city centre of Birmingham.

Translations:

a and b) Mein Chef hat eine Wohnung im sechsten Stock aber er nimmt nie den Fahrstuhl.
In American English, ‘Erdgeschoss’ is ‘first floor’. In Britain this is the ‘ground floor’.

a) In den USA tragen Geschäftsleute oft dreiteilige Anzüge mit einer Jacke, einer Hose und einer Weste.
b) in Großbritannien tragen Geschäftsleute oft dreiteilige Anzüge mit einer Jacke, einer Hose und einem Unterhemd.
